1 Abstract

In order to provide a variable workplace furniture system which is very flexible and easy to assemble and disassemble, polygonal columns (3) are provided with surfaces (7 and 8) which are elevated and set back extending over their entire length, between which surfaces functional grids in the form of slots (11) are arranged one above the other in grooves (9). Said slots serve for the suspension of hooks (12) which are attached to adaptor parts (14) connected to cross-beams (5) and are tensioned by tensioning screws (16). The hooks (12) are each seated on the limbs of a U-shaped insertion piece (13) which is guided so as to be limitedly displaceable in relation to the adaptor part (14) on sloping sliding blocks. The variable workplace furniture system described is particularly suitable for EDP workplaces, it being possible for the individual appliances to be favourably assembled in terms of ergonomics at the appropriate level. <IMAGE>
