1 Abstract

[Translated] A film made of a thermoplastic can be coated with another plastic and results in a film composite. The coating can be done on one or both sides. A film composite consisting of a carrier film made of polyvinyl alcohol and a coating made of polyvinyl acetal is particularly suitable for use as packaging material. The coating is advantageously achieved by applying a polyvinyl acetal solution to the carrier film and then removing the solvent. Polyvinyl butyral is particularly suitable as a coating agent.
