Description
Enables double-stranded DNA binding activity. Involved in embryonic limb morphogenesis. Acts upstream of or within embryonic pectoral fin morphogenesis and positive regulation of fibroblast growth factor receptor signaling pathway. Predicted to be located in nucleus. Is expressed in several structures, including apical ectodermal ridge pelvic fin bud; midbrain neural keel; nervous system; neural plate; and neural tube. Orthologous to human SP8 (Sp8 transcription factor).
