Description
Enables tRNA (uridine) methyltransferase activity. Involved in tRNA nucleoside ribose methylation. Located in cytoplasm. Orthologous to human TRMT44 (tRNA methyltransferase 44 homolog).
tRNA (uracil-O(2)-)-methyltransferase, which catalyzes the formation of O(2)-methyluracil at position 44 (Um44) in tRNA(Ser).
