Description
Predicted to enable 3'-5' RNA helicase activity and RNA binding activity. Involved in regulation of alternative mRNA splicing, via spliceosome. Predicted to be part of spliceosomal complex. Is expressed in several structures, including central brain primordium; embryonic central brain neurons; embryonic/larval midgut; embryonic/larval midgut primordium; and ganglia. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in retinitis pigmentosa 84. Orthologous to human DHX38 (DEAH-box helicase 38).
