Description
Predicted to enable DNA binding activity and metal ion binding activity. Acts upstream of or within chromatin organization and positive regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. Located in nucleus. Is expressed in several structures, including central nervous system; ear; genitourinary system; jaw; and limb primordium. Used to study generalized anxiety disorder. Orthologous to human ZNF462 (zinc finger protein 462).

By binding PBX1, prevents the heterodimerization of PBX1 and HOXA9 and their binding to DNA (PMID: 17353115). Regulates neuronal development and neural cell differentiation (PMID: 21570965, PMID: 27621227).
