Description
Predicted to enable DNA-binding transcription activator activity, RNA polymerase II-specific and RNA polymerase II cis-regulatory region sequence-specific DNA binding activity. Involved in positive regulation of connective tissue replacement. Acts upstream of or within cytokine-mediated signaling pathway. Located in cytoplasm and nucleus. Is expressed in several structures, including central nervous system; early conceptus; embryo mesenchyme; genitourinary system; and peripheral nervous system. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in prostate cancer and stomach cancer. Orthologous to human KLF6 (KLF transcription factor 6).
