Description
Enables cyclin binding activity. Involved in DNA damage response. Predicted to be located in several cellular components, including centrosome; nucleoplasm; and ruffle. Predicted to be part of cyclin D1-CDK6 complex; cyclin D2-CDK6 complex; and cyclin D3-CDK6 complex. Predicted to be active in cytoplasm and nucleus. Biomarker of interstitial cystitis. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in high grade glioma; lung non-small cell carcinoma; pancreatic adenocarcinoma; pancreatic ductal carcinoma; and primary autosomal recessive microcephaly 12. Orthologous to human CDK6 (cyclin dependent kinase 6).
