NCI Yeast Anticancer Drug Screen. Data for the mlh1 rad18 strain

Growth inhibition of yeast strains with defined genetic alterations is measured as a screen for potential anti-cancer activity. Selected strains with alterations in DNA damage repair or cell cycle control were exposed to compounds and growth inhibition was measured relative to vehicle treated controls. The strain used in this assay is mlh1 rad18 ..more

Description:
Growth inhibition of yeast strains with defined genetic alterations is measured as a screen for potential anti-cancer activity. Selected strains with alterations in DNA damage repair or cell cycle control were exposed to compounds and growth inhibition was measured relative to vehicle treated controls. The strain used in this assay is mlh1 rad18
Comment
These data are a subset of the data from the NCI yeast anticancer drug screen. Compounds are identified by the NCI NSC number. In the Seattle Project numbering system, the mlh1 rad18 strain is SPY number 50858
Compounds with inhibition of growth(giprct) >= 70% were considered active. Activity score was based on increasing values of giprct.
